Cameron Ellis – Owner
Cameron’s experience within the construction industry started in 2004. His passion for finding solutions for people stemmed from his studies at Oregon State University and continued well after he graduated with a degree in Business Entrepreneurship. Patience, attention to detail, and dedication to hard work are what Cameron considers the keys to not only his company’s success, but the success of his personal life as well. He loves spending time with his wife and two children as well as hiking, snowboarding, kayaking, mountain biking, and reading.
David Hallin – Restoration Division Manager
Shelby Everitt – HR Generalist
Shelby enjoys spending time with family, friends and raising her two beautiful daughters. She also enjoys running and hiking.
Mandi Oberst – Finance & Administrative Manager
Mandi is the Finance and Administrative Manager at Summit Reconstruction. She started working for Summit when the business first started in 2013. As a graduate from Oregon State University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration she has added her knowledge and experience to running Summit’s office and administration staff. She values hard work, positive attitudes and loves to help others while creating a positive and enjoyable environment for the team.
When not at the office Mandi spends her time with her husband and three small children in Oregon City. She also enjoys gardening, reading and home brewing kombucha.
Cole Hamilton – Business Development Manager Construction
Cole was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He spent several years working as a Community Manager before making the switch over to construction. He prides himself in building strong relationships and making clients happy. For fun he enjoys camping with his wife, 4 children and 2 great danes.
Brian Hughes – Project Manager
Brian first started in construction over 30 years ago in the drywall and plastering trade, and quickly worked his way up to Estimator and Project Manager for large commercial and multi-family projects for his employer. After 8 years, Brian got his GC license and left to run his own successful stucco and plastering company. In 2009 Brian relocated to the Portland area, where he took a job with a large construction company as Lead Investigator on the construction defect investigation and repair team. In 2014 Brian left to join Summit. Brian manages the foremen and superintendents’ day to day activities specializing in deck coating, stucco and special projects. His attention to detail regarding project management assures well planned and executed projects.
Derek Thomas – Project Manager
Derek has been in the construction industry for over 16 years, and working for Summit Reconstruction for almost 2 years. Growing up in Astoria, OR he started building custom beach homes in the Seaside/Cannon Beach area. He learned to form and pour foundations, layout and frame, as well as WRB, flash & siding. He is a knowledgeable and hardworking individual in his trade who strives to meet and beat deadlines. He considers his workers part of his family and enjoys showing and teaching his tricks of the trade to his crew members. Derek enjoys spending time with his family while living in Vancouver, WA. Some of his hobbies include golfing, camping, sporting events, and anything to do with the outdoors!
Chris Johnson – Estimator
Chris takes great pride that his construction background, knowledge and customer service was built from a young age at the direction and guidance from his father and mothers family construction company. Learning to take pride in every aspect of building fine homes from the ground up has laid the foundation for the way he approaches each and every project. When the family construction company moved to build custom homes at the Oregon coast Chris chose to stay in the Portland area where he began working in the multi family reconstruction field. 2018 marks his 21st year working in the multi family area and 11 years in the exterior rehabilitation/construction defect field. He works hard to build lasting relationships with clients and industry professionals and complete quality projects for our customers.
Kellie Kraynak – Project Coordinator
Kellie has worked in the Home Improvement industry for over 15 years. She is committed to helping make all projects run as smoothly and seamlessly as possible. Project responsibilities with Summit include assisting with the overall development of projects, including scheduled site meetings with the entire construction team. An avid Thorns FC fan, Kellie is a member of the Rose City Riveters. When not working or cheering on the Thorns, she is most likely out rockhounding on the Oregon Coast or kayaking.
